Donald Trump started to bounce back in the betting markets after a stunning poll led to his election odds plummeting.
A Des Moines Register poll, released on Saturday night, sent shockwaves through the markets after it showed Trump losing the red state of Iowa to Kamala Harris.
It triggered a flood of wagers on Harris to win the U.S. election, and Trump's odds tanked on an array of betting and prediction markets - including Kalshi, Polymarket and Predictit.
Harris even overtook Trump as the favorite for the White House on Kalshi.
However, on Sunday, markets appeared to be correcting slightly with Trump rising again.

Most polls showed President Trump leading in Iowa by about 5 points. Now a new poll out shows the Demorat +3. That is an 8 point change in a couple of days. Unless there was an scandal to beat all scandals those swings don’t happen in that short of a period of time. And there was no scandal of scandals. IMHO that poll that showed the Demorat ahead by 3 points is either bogus or based on a faulty sample.
At one time the Register had a couple of very good political reporters. They may have been liberal but they were honest and had a pretty good pulse on Iowa voters.
Somebody didn’t like the way Trump’s big lead looked - nor the way Elon kept calling attention to it.
I bet their polling sample came from their subscriber list.
Big Dem donors and probably some Pubs are betting to try to influence voters.

Yep. PA is absolutely critical for both candidates. Trump could afford to lose NC (not that he will).
I couldn't imagine living in PA right now. I'm sure it's nothing but nonstop ads.
I live in southeast PA and I’ve been keeping the TV off. My phones here have been blowing up for months.
Ironically, I think it was the New York Times poll that reversed his decline on the betting markets. It essentially was unchanged from the week before (which had Trump/Harris pretty much tied in the Popular vote and all the swing states). Pretty much putting to rest this new Democrat line that all the late deciders suddenly broke toward Harris in the last week.
Ideally the house want close to even money between candidates. So if Trump is getting all the action of course books will adjust to even it out.
