I'm an occasional lurker at the DUmp, trying to catch a whiff of the putrid attitudes and convos in that deranged bunch. Recently, the site returns this message on their home page:
Democratic Underground is currently open to Star members only
They give some excuse about some technical error, but I've seen this operation before and they usually are just trying to hide a civil war raging among members. Not a good look. (A great look for us.)

Wow, it really is CLOSED down.
I once was a target of theirs back in 2004-2008 and have an account just so I could follow up on the attacks. Some of the stuff was pretty hilarious. They even had some information about me I didn’t have a clue about. Very informative.

When I had a FascistBook account, some of the mods got suspicious about my pseudonym, and wanted more verification of my identity. They went so far as to request MY STATE DRIVER LICENSE OR I.D. IMAGE! I laughed in their faces.

I have no doubt the leftists are going to try a repeat of riots and lawfare. Trump would be well served by firing every, and I mean every, political appointee in the DOJ on day one. That is true for most of the agencies.

Every IT person worth their salt could’ve seen THIS coming. Duh. Anyone remember the Y2K meltdowns? What? They didn’t happen? I guess DU only hires unqualified DEI folks in their IT department. *SNORT* I wouldn't snort too loudly.
A few years ago FR crashed right before a big election and was offline for several days as JimRob &Co rebuilt the server from backups.
It was after that crash that I realized that FR needed more money to buy better hardware and server space, so I became a monthly donor.

I’m a Monthly and I send in an additional check each month that I’m flush. ;)
I was laughing because my Ex was an IT Guy in 1999. The Y2K preparations were INSANE and then nothing came of it.
