Yea, I feel like he's emulating Rogan to ingratiate himself, keep it clean.
He discusses his swearing about five minutes into the interview.
He was in the Marines. I was Army Infantry I could wreck your mind. J.D. actually explained that in the very early phase of the interview about who raised him. It’s easy criticism if your background is different. I like most vets hide my propensity to use the most vile and profane vulgarity in most situations and around most people. Yet at times when I really need to communicate or in situations that remind me of other situations the nuclear turd blossom may or may not occur to the shock of all participants and spectators. That is all.
Nothing wrong with the occasional Sentence Enhancer.

Ex-military here. I’m impressed by his self-control. Not sure my Baptist pastor would be, but he puts up with me. So I think he’ll cut JD some slack.
BTW - I don’t ADMIRE cussing, but it is a much easier habit to start than to quit.

There’s “potty mouth” swearing, and there’s blasphemy swearing. The only one that bothers me is blasphemy, i.e., taking the Lord’s name in vain. The other stuff is just words.
I don’t used them much because they’re not good in polite society, and it reflects badly on you. But morally and ethically ... meh.
