Former California first lady and journalist Maria Shriver revealed that only “pre-determined questions” were allowed to be asked of Vice President Kamala Harris at a Michigan town hall event on Monday.
“Are we going to be able to ask a question?” a woman attending the Oakland County event asked Shriver ahead of Harris taking the stage with former Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney, according to the Daily Mail.
Shriver shut her down.
“You’re not, unfortunately, we have some pre-determined questions,” the former “Dateline” correspondent replied.
“Hopefully I’ll be able to ask some of the questions that might be in your head,” Shriver added.
Video of Shriver’s response to the woman quickly went viral on social media, with several users slamming the event as a Harris campaign “production” rather than a genuine town hall – where voters are typically allowed to ask presidential candidates unscripted questions.
“That’s not a town hall. That’s called a stage production,” one X user wrote, arguing that the Democratic nominee for president is “incapable of off the cuff.”
“Some ‘town hall,’” Fox News chief political analyst Brit Hume tweeted.
Another X user referred to the event, which was packed with canned lines and talking points, as a “prepped answer show.”

The Democrats and the media aren’t even trying to hide how terrible Harris is as a presidential candidate. No wonder they’ve become more unhinged lately.
Being reported this morning that Kamala is cutting back her schedule on the trail to prepare for interviews; one a town hall w CNN and the other an NBC interview.
At this stage in a political campaign, preparing for a town hall w what are likely scripted questions and what will probably be a taped and edited interview is quite a show of incompetence.

Here is what I have been posting on public forums:
We have two candidates that each served one term in office. Ignore all the name-calling, staged events, personalities, innuendoes and campaign promises. Just look at their job performance while in office.
Trump had a strong economy with the lowest black unemployment on record. Food and energy prices were low and we were energy independent. The border was mostly secure and Trump orchestrated multiple peace deals in the Middle East. We had no new wars and Putin, Xi and Un were mostly behaving themselves.
Harris’ record cannot compare to Trump’s, hence I am voting for the candidate that did best at the job...I am voting for Trump.

Plenty of people with Down’s syndrome can speak in a way that is understandable. Kamala puts words together that make no sense. It’s like playing chess- you have to think a few moves or words in advance. You can’t say-“ If am be the galaxy on my mother growing up and that’s what we need to see if we can do”
