The cast of “The West Wing” visited Wisconsin to help the Harris-Walz team promote early voting Saturday. Actors made stops in Waukesha, Milwaukee and Madison, Wisc.
Actor Bradley Whitford kicked off discussions on the ground with voters alongside Martin Sheen, Dulé Hill, Mary McCormack and Richard Schiff.
“Get in the game. Make a substantive contribution,” Sheen said while amping up voters. “If you go down swinging, at least you took your shot. Just don’t watch the pitch go by.”
The rest of his speech touched on policy initiatives like climate change and gun laws.
“Global warming constitutes a clear and present danger to the health and well-being of this planet and its inhabitants. If that concerns you, get in the game,” Sheen added. “If you’re off the charts tired of the gun lobby tossing around words like, personal freedom nobody’s calling on, get in the game.”
He urged voters to make a statement by casting their ballot.
“Remind the NRA that gun laws are not trying to take the guns away they’re trying to stop the guns from taking our children away,” he told Wisconsin voters.
Former President Trump has a 0.3 percentage point lead in the state according to The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s aggregate of polls.
Sheen, a lifelong Democrat, previously sounded the alarm on potential voter suppression during the 2024 election, describing some Trump supporters as “MAGA vigilantes.”
In September, first lady Jill Biden hosted an event in honor of the show’s 25th anniversary at The White House.

I have not watched a single episode of West Wing. I cannot stand Martin Sheen.
Ah, unimpressive has been folks out campaigning for an unimpressive never will be.
Looks like they are going after the “People Who Live In TV Land Vote. They can’t tell the difference between real life and TV. Idiots.
The “Like to watch” voter block.
What were the minstrels paid for this? They should be run out of town like their predecessors before mass media.
“The Left Wing” would have been more fitting than “The West Wing.”
So the cast are all members of AFI... Actors For Idiots?
Anyone who listens to an “actor” tell him how to vote is a damned fool.
Because of their money, these folks are able to live a life behind security fences, armed guards, body guards everywhere they go - and live in areas that are safe and clean - and far from crime, Section 8 housing and illegals and the degradation they bring with them.
The Bradley Whitford character always reminded me of Paul Begala. Class A jerk.
1) These people are not trying to change minds. They have been briefed. There are no undecideds of significance.
2) THIS IS ALL ABOUT TURNOUT. They are there to drive Turnout, not for persuasion.
3) I do not recall such a concerted celebrity effort so loudly in the past. It smells of desperation.
Romanticized propaganda to influence voters at the time.
-The erudite, but personable, Democrat president who always stood on his convictions, even when it hurt him politically.
-The Democrat president who had masterful command of facts and history— who could shut down the slimy Republicans with a single word.
-The hard-working administration folk who are always doing the principled thing behind the scenes.
-The hypocritical Republican members of Congress who are only using their policy positions for political gain.
It was a love-letter to themselves.
After seeing a few episodes I couldn’t take any more.
IIRC-—WHITFORD IS A NATIVE OF MADISON.
I recommended it (as a comedy) to a woman I knew. She said it wasn’t funny, at all. She also calls a library a “liberry.”
Doesn't President Martin Sheen have his own "Hunter" problem to deal with?

Ha!
Elites from Hollywood is not going to persuade “undecided voters” in this election.
