Day #33 of the Top 50 songs on my iTunes playlist -- ranked in reverse order by play frequency from #50 to #1 and presented here on a series of FR threads. I've been posting them here on a new thread that compiles the growing list one day at a time over the course of several months. I only post them on weekdays and may miss a day or two here and there, so this will probably be done in early November. I've picked up the pace a bit over the last week.
And to show my gratitude to the FR management for giving us all a forum to post vanity threads like this, I'll be making contributions for both the 3rd and 4th quarter fundraisers. I would encourage everyone on these threads to do the same! :-)
Have fun with this, folks!

So after the 20th time he sings “I’m getting closer to my home”, I’m thinking, “Geez, would you just get home, already!”

I feel the same way about “Find your way back”.
It was common practice in those days to repeat the refrain many times, but while I like much of the music, that’s one aspect I am no fan of.
"Am I in my cabin dreaming, or are you really scheming ... to take my ship away from me?"
Let me know if you'd like to be added or removed from the ping list!
Or “Listen to the music.”
“How can I listen to the music if you don’t STFU!”
It’s actually a dark story. The crew tries to poison the captain (”Though I’m feeling mighty sick”), but when that doesn’t work they physically strangle him. LOL.
On a positive note. ‘Midnight Rider’ is an excellent addition
I feel this🤣
For nostalgia I’ll say yes. Also, like the marshal tucker song.
Great song.
On my list
