BALTIMORE (WBFF) – A shocking discovery out of a Baltimore City high school, where Project Baltimore has found hundreds of students are failing. It’s a school where a student who passed three classes in four years, ranks near the top half of his class with a 0.13 grade point average.

“He's stressed and I am too. I told him I'm probably going to start crying. I don't know what to do for him,” France told Project Baltimore. “Why would he do three more years in school? He didn't fail, the school failed him. The school failed at their job. They failed. They failed, that's the problem here. They failed. They failed. He didn't deserve that.”

France’s son attends Augusta Fells Savage Institute of Visual Arts in west Baltimore. His transcripts show he’s passed just three classes in four years, earning 2.5 credits, placing him in ninth grade. But France says she didn’t know that until February. She has three children and works three jobs. She thought her oldest son was doing well because even though he failed most of his classes, he was being promoted. His transcripts show he failed Spanish I and Algebra I but was promoted to Spanish II and Algebra II. He also failed English II but was passed on to English III.

Exactly!
They and the teacher’s unions fight tooth and nail to avoid any independent testing to show accountability for educrat efforts.
All they need to do is find an advocacy NGO to help get government freebies and sign their prefilled democrat ballots.
I had a similar situation.
Straight A student. In my Senior year. Taking Calculus.
There were two pre-Calculus teachers and only one of them also taught Calculus.
If you were unlucky enough to have had the teacher that didn’t teach calculus, you were failing. If your pre-calculus teacher was now your calculus teacher, you were getting A’s.
The calculus teacher had reasons...you will get used to her methods, there was a “trick” to taking her tests...
My dad was a teacher at a different high school. He went to the Parent’s Open House and confronted her in front of all the other parents. After she gave her lame excuses, my dad said...
“I have been teaching for over 20 years. I have two masters degrees in education and enough credits for my doctorate. It is my opinion that this teacher is incompetent and I am removing my son from her class. I suggest you do so as well.”
The class went from 30 students to 13.
Your theory is, if the teaching were different, the results would be different.
That theory has been severely tested, and is in a state of collapse. No one knows what comes next, but it won't be more of what we have now.
Did she not see his report card with all Fs? Did she think the F was for Fabulous or Fine?
What is worse is that he is near the top half of students with a 0.13 GPA. So his grades are not atypical.
But then, it’s Baltimore.
What’s Daddy say!
Where’s Daddy say?
Who’s Daddy say?
What’s Daddy do?
I had an instructor in college who was just a bad instructor. We weren’t just dummies as we were a aspiring electrical engineers. I know he was bad when he was out for several classes and another instructor came in and taught the class for a few days and for the time he taught, many of us understood the concepts.
When you have a class full of kids who would gladly pummel you for trying to make them sit down, be still, and pay attention, there isn’t much the teacher can do.
Holy crap: We could have been in the same class (you described my situation to a T).
Except my calculus teacher wasn’t female…
Ironic.
My wife - and all of my teacher-relatives - report the same thing.

STILL CANNOT TYPE-—But can run a calculator like crazy
When I was in high school, Algebra I was a year-long course worth one credit. There were some courses that were just one semester worth 0.5 credits. I don’t remember for certain but classes that met just two or three days a week were also worth 0.5 credit (physical education, shop, art, etc.).
