Spacex Successfully launched and returned the booster!
I am surprised there was no live thread! This is history...
Amazing! I am shaking.
Elon Musk is the new Werner von Braun!...And without ever having been a captured Nazi.
SpaceX has recovered the booster like that more than twenty times already.
Watch it live. I last felt this way with the first Falcon Heavy Test Flight and the Apollo V launch if Apollo 11.
Unbelievable!!!
Fantastic! Looked like CGI/unreal!
Watched it, and cheered. Eat your hearts out, you poor wretched and doomed to fail DEI companies. Musk hires folks with talent. GO, go, go!!!!!!
And Boeing, you could learn from Elon.
No, not like this. This is the first time this gigantic booster has gone up and been caught.
The plan is, from what we see now, the booster hanging from the chopsticks, to lower it back to the pad, have the Starship land, pick that up, stack it, do a preflight, refuel and launch it again, all within a matter of hours.
There has been nothing done on this scale in history.
This is Starship not Falcon....heavy 33 engine booster caught on the launch tower. Starship currently in orbit.
Video of the “catch” here:

This thing is bigger and more massive than the Apollo rockets. What we have seen is absolutely unprecedented.
Thanks! Pretty lookin’ live feed from orbit, but dang, I’ll have to watch the catch once someone uploads the vid, since no ‘news’ source has recapped it, nor will any of them for some time.
I am broken-hearted about what has happened to both Boeing and NASA.
I so admired both of them at one time.
My younger son was convinced (as we discussed it last night) that there was no way they could do it. He was sure the Booster would hit the tower, or the weight would rip the chopsticks off.
He told me to wake him up if they did.it and he’d take me to breakfast. Since he didn’t get to bed until 2am, I’ll let him sleep.
I am in awe that they pulled this off.
I’m now watching to see if the Starship can successfully re-enter the atmosphere without burning through its control fins (like last time). Hopefully, thanks to Starlink, we’ll be able to watch the re-enter in real time.
It was amazing to see. Another win for Elon Musk, the second most hated man in the world!
Incredible!
Thanks for posting the link.
This should be front page news and the talk of the nation, but I won’t be surprised if the networks ignore it...because Elon.
Me too. I was in awe as well. Something American that works well, and nobody is even close.
Deep down I think part of me was saying they couldn’t pull it off.
But they did.
