Counting Down my iTunes Play Count (VANITY) -- Day #29
AC’s iTunes Directory | 10/8/2024 | Alberta's Child

Posted on 10/08/2024 9:40:19 AM PDT by Alberta's Child

Day #29 of the Top 50 songs on my iTunes playlist -- ranked in reverse order by play frequency from #50 to #1 and presented here on a series of FR threads. I've been posting them here on a new thread that compiles the growing list one day at a time over the course of several months. I only post them on weekdays and may miss a day or two here and there, so this will probably be done by early November.

And to show my gratitude to the FR management for giving us all a forum to post vanity threads like this, I'll be making contributions for both the 3rd and 4th quarter fundraisers. I would encourage everyone on these threads to do the same! :-)

Have fun with this, folks!

Pinging to those from the previous threads. A mellow, sentimental classic for a beautiful autumn day. The tenor saxophone defines this song.

"When that fog horn blows, you know I will be coming home."

Let me know if you'd like to be added or removed from the ping list!

Is it coincidence you placed The Motels and Rush together (32/33)? Those who know, know...

A couple of days ago was listening to a prehistoric terestial radio station, and they played Nick Gilders 1978 song, "Hot Child in the City".

Gawd a song with a melody, that one can't get out of their head.

Oops. Wrong band. I was thinking of Til’ Tuesday, not The Motels.

I don’t pay anything for a subscription. I have an old iTunes account where I buy songs online and add them to my library. It’s called Apple Music now, I think.

One of my wife’s favorite songs. Mine too. I think one of the reasons we got married because we both have great taste in music :-).

Yeah, I got my girl singers mixed up. I was thinking Amiee Man sung for The Motels, but it was actually Til' Tuesday. Those in the "know" would know Amiee Mann is the only person to ever sing on a Rush tune except Geddy Lee. She also plays bass... So, putting those two bands together would not seem coincidental to some. Martha Davis of The Motels is no Amiee Mann. Amiee Mann Martha Davis
