Counting Down my iTunes Play Count (VANITY) -- Day #28
AC’s iTunes Directory | 10/7/2024 | Alberta's Child

Posted on 10/07/2024 9:25:14 AM PDT by Alberta's Child

Day #28 of the Top 50 songs on my iTunes playlist -- ranked in reverse order by play frequency from #50 to #1 and presented here on a series of FR threads. I've been posting them here on a new thread that compiles the growing list one day at a time over the course of several months. I only post them on weekdays and may miss a day or two here and there, so this will probably be done by early November.

And to show my gratitude to the FR management for giving us all a forum to post vanity threads like this, I'll be making contributions for both the 3rd and 4th quarter fundraisers. I would encourage everyone on these threads to do the same! :-)

Have fun with this, folks!

Pinging to those from the previous threads. The iconic Led Zeppelin makes its way onto the list -- but with a song that isn't as popular as some of their classics.

"Ride a white mare in the footsteps of dawn ... trying to find a woman who's never, never, never been born."

Let me know if you'd like to be added or removed from the ping list!

I think “Going To California” is a bit outdated (although a great tune).

Might there be a song called “Fleeing from California”?

Led Zeppelin IV is one of the greatest albums ever.

A great Led Zeppelin song. I saw them once at Tampa Stadium in 1977, but it started raining three songs into the concert and they left the stage and did not return. There were disturbances and the concert was cancelled. They played The Song Remains the Same, Sick Again and Nobody’s Fault but Mine. So many songs I wanted to see them perform. I was hugely disappointed.

I agree. “When The Levee Breaks” and “The Battle Of Evermore” are two of my favorites that don’t get as much airplay as some of the other classics.

I saw that concert at MSG. I also saw the Physical Graffiti tour at MSG. That is one of my top three concerts of all time.
