I think he said all he was ever going to say on this earth. He belongs to the ages now. Let him rest in peace.

Sad. He was flawed, but we’re all flawed. He was a great player. RIP

He’s talking to Tug McGraw right now. Something about tomatoes in the bullpen.

I rememberhim when I was 5 in 1961, 62. He has my childhood hero. I loved him right up until 2015 when he refused me an autograph. Charlie Hustle was the best little player and should be in the Hall of Fame, esp. since gambling is a disease today and no longer a creer ending vice.

I loved him right up until 2015 when he refused me an autograph. Did he give a reason? Or did he expect you to pay for one?

Maybe one of the greatest ball players ever. Yeah, diss him all you want, but look at sports now. The guy was as good as Brooks Robinson, and could hit as well as anyone. And boy, when he got one base - watch out.

That All Star game collision at Home plate essentially ended Ray Fosse’s career (seperated shoulder, never the same) But IMO and most others it was a clean play, Fosse obstructed the plate.
