A stone-faced Mayor Eric Adams pleaded not guilty in Manhattan federal court Friday during his historic arraignment on bombshell federal corruption charges.
Hizzoner — who is the first sitting New York City mayor to be criminally indicted — stared blankly ahead as the judge fired off the slew of conspiracy, wire fraud and bribery allegations he is facing.
“I am not guilty, your honor,” Adams told the judge.

This is obviously a political prosecution... But New York is controlled by Democrats... So who did Adams p*ss off? It looks like the top dog didn’t get his tribute, which is likely 10% of the graft...
So who was that top dog?
Schumer? The Clintons? Hochul? Which one gets a cut of everything?
So, you cannot support your position. Lessons from watching Kamala?
Fraudulently obtaining $10M in public funds.
Can’t hide things like that he’s out of his realm.
What’s wrong with democrat campaigns taking foreign money? They might need to check ActBlue because there is no way of telling where that money is coming from.
You don’t have an argument that rebuts the presumption.
Stupid.
Please, no more stupid emails.
“You don’t have an argument that rebuts the presumption.”
I don’t have to rebut the presumption as the presumption does not apply to all federal statutes.
Your taking that position would imply that all federal actions are unconstitutional.
Besides, having made no positional statement I have no argument to defend.
Not just democrats either
“Please, no more stupid emails.”
Please, no more false insinuations. .
“Still question fed’s constitutional authority to meddle in the affairs of a city. That is the State’s constitutional business.”
What specifically do you question related to this indictment?
No, the position is that of a presumption based on the probability (80%) that the federal law is unconstitutional.
Based on that, YOU have the burden of proof that the federal law is constitutional.
See ya.
“Within that, the State and the people of the State are constitutionally free to run things as they wish.”
Interesting. State officials are constitutionally free to rip off federal funds?
“No, the position is that of a presumption based on the probability (80%) that the federal law is unconstitutional.”
Never heard the 80%. Did you make that up?
Still, since you agree that some federal statutes are constitutional that leaves it open that the Adams’ charges are constitutional which brings us back to the question of which ones you believe to be unconstitutional. Just a simple list. I think there were only five to be considered.
Federal funding is where the feds got the States - on contract grounds not constitutional grounds and not for unlimited power over the States. But it does give the feds contractual power over relevant areas related to the federal funding.
The States and the people MUST refuse funding from the bankrupt feds so they can be what they are supposed to be - INDEPENDENT and free from federal gov’t coercion.
$123K for a big city Democrat mayor?
That’s chicken feed. He obviously pissed someone off.
Very little of the monster $4+ trillion federal gov’t or their actions are constitutional. 80% unconstitutional is an underestimate. Almost certainly a higher %.
“Article IV, Section 4 (1) limits federal authority to ensuring that the state gov’t is a republic (representative).”
Does that include ensuring fair and free elections?
Limited to the constitutional specifications to the states for elections.
Constitutionally LIMITED gov't remember? That was how our country was founded and established. A Free Constitutional Republic.
“Limited to the constitutional specifications to the states for elections.”
Does this include ensuring fair elections?
“Constitutionally LIMITED gov’t remember? “
I remember. I also remember asking you which of the five listed statutes were unconstitutional.
” But it does give the feds contractual power over relevant areas related to the federal funding.”
Thanks for answering your question on why there are federal charges.
