If $$$ is a persons prime focus, let them have no kids - the kids are better off not being with adults like that.
I was trying to figure out a way to word my response. Yours will do just fine.
7 Again I saw something meaningless under the sun:
8 There was a man all alone;
he had neither son nor brother.
There was no end to his toil,
yet his eyes were not content with his wealth.
“For whom am I toiling,” he asked,
“and why am I depriving myself of enjoyment?”
This too is meaningless—
a miserable business!
9 Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
10 If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.
11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
12 Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Ecclesiastes 4
“If $$$ is a persons prime focus, let them have no kids - the kids are better off not being with adults like that.”
Couldn’t agree more. What an awful article—as if people have kids for some monetary reason! Having children is a priceless gift.
CRAE CRAE
Money brings happiness. It says so in the bible. Somewhere. I heard that.
That's the future.
Well said.
The benefits of parenthood are priceless.
I think you are right but I also am astonished at the people who are not only anti-child but anti-spouse.
Today I found myself in a sticky wicket and my husband just took care of it.
When I told him he was the best he answered that I had done the same for him more then once.
How do people go on without someone to help support them and pick them up when they stumble?
How is money or power or anything more important than having people in your life that you love and can count on?
