We have definitely been lied too.
I am back on butter and salt. Oh,and doubled my meat consumption.
Haven’t started on lard,yet.
Look at all the people who lived into their 80s and 90s.
They didn’t eat low fat or little or no meat.
Back to butter because the fake stuff makes me sick.
There’s much truth to your statement. All this health crap advice we’ve been told is garbage.
The story says eggs do not hurt cholesterol, well that’s been know for years.
Remember when the Adkins diet first came out? The so called experts about wet their pants over that one. Now doctors recommend it.
And I too eat lots of salt. My body craves it. And we eat lots of red meat.
“Look at all the people who lived into their 80s and 90s. They didn’t eat low fat or little or no meat.”
Mom lived to 99-3/4. She ate like a farmer. Meat, bread, potatoes, corn, desserts. After her last blood test she was told she had the cholesterol of a 20-year-old.
“Haven’t started on lard,yet.”:
store-bought lard is partially hydrogenated AND loaded with preservatives ... nasty stuff ...
far healthier to use home-made beef tallow: chop up beef fat in food processor, render in crockpot, and freeze small portions ... even in the fridge it’ll mold and go bad fairly quickly due to lack of preservatives ...
Correct. Eggs, butter, meat, lard… the most processed things they ate were bread, and apple pies.
The crap on the shelves of the middle aisles of stores is horrifying. Fast food is worse.
My grandmother used to make donuts dried in lard. Best donuts ever.
