Chicago Public Schools reportedly told teachers to pass illegal immigrant students regardless of their performance in the classroom.
A new report revealed that illegal immigrant children are receiving special treatment over U.S. citizen students in several schools within the district. WGN News reporter Sylvia Snowden said she spoke with multiple Chicago Public School teachers who admitted to passing illegal immigrant students after being instructed to give them a “passing grade,” even if that meant deliberately falsifying grades.

They pass American students the same way in many districts so not surprised not to mention US students are falling farther behind other countries every year.

They are treating them the same as they treat the citizens kids . Don’t teach them anything, pass them anyway. The CPS is simply a money laundering scheme from taxpayers to CTU members.
And as for grade inflation in schools, In a Harvard Crimson article, noted conservative Harvard professor Harvey Mansfield contended that,
"Grade inflation got started … when professors raised the grades of students protesting the war in Vietnam..." "At that time, too, white professors, imbibing the spirit of the new policies of affirmative action, stopped giving low grades to black students, and to justify or conceal this, also stopped giving low grades to white students." The problem was essentially seen as the predominance of the notion of self-esteem, "in which the purpose of education is to make students feel capable and 'empowered,' and professors should hesitate to pass judgment on what students have learned." Such assertions resulted in no small controversy.
Harvard alumnus and author Ross Douthat attributed this problem partly to socioeconomic differences, and noted that "Harvard students are creatively lazy, gifted at working smarter rather than harder", being brilliant largely in their tactics "to achieve a maximal GPA in return for minimal effort." So, a Chicago high school diploma is now worthless.
It is an interesting concept.
Something worthless has somehow become worth less than it was.

I have to wonder. Is this a directive of the school board or the administration?
And if this is the philosophy of the school system, why bother having the children in the class room at all?
Why not just hand them a diploma and send them on their way?
Is it the idea that the children might absorb some knowledge by osmosis.
Children sitting in a room with other students and a teacher they can not understand are simply going to be bored and frustrated and act out.
The teachers are either going to spend and inordinate amount of time with these children simply trying communicate with them or controlling their disruptive behavior.
The teenagers will be the most disruptive forming cliques and gangs that will enjoy being disruptive and terrorizing the teachers and other students.
The end result will be that no one in these classrooms will have any chance of an educational experience.
The schools will become factories for producing criminals.
The teachers who spoke to the outlet said they spoke zero Spanish, while the immigrant students spoke no English, making classroom communication nearly impossible.

This happens in lots of places with a large immigrant population (and has been happening). I have two students with whom I’m unable to communicate at all. I have to rely on my co-worker who is a SPED teacher (and speaks Spanish).
What are they even in school for if they are not going to try and graduate legitimately? Ah, that’s right- schools are babysitters until the child reaches 18.

At the end of the day this really is not the schools, the teachers or the students fault. None of them should be put in this position.
This is the Biden administration's fault. It's just one more of American's once envied institutions brought low and destroyed by a failed ideology.
I guess failed is the wrong word since that was the intention all along.
Massachusetts teachers trying to get the state to drop the MCAS standardized testing they insisted on years ago...no one is saying it, but 100% the same thing is going on here. Pass everyone to be done with it.
