A Palestinian supporter was shot Thursday evening after violently attacking a pro-Israel Iraq War veteran during a protest in Newton, Massachusetts.
The incident occurred when the assailant, who was wearing a Palestinian pin and had a surgical mask hanging from his neck, began shouting at a group of around ten pro-Israel protesters, according to Daily Wire.

Hayes is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and violation of a constitutional right causing injury, Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan said. Ryan said the veteran had full legal possession of the gun, according to Boston 25 News. The veteran’s fellow protesters say they were not aware he had a gun, but believe he was acting in self defense.
The shooter has already been charged. No word about the guy who was attacking him.
First question I'd ask to the prosecution: where in the Constitution is the right to violently attack someone you disagree with? We'll all wait while you look.
Second question: Has the other person been charged with assault and battery, and violation of a constitutional right?
