Republican U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Thursday that he will end all taxes on overtime pay as part of a wider tax cut package, if he is elected in the Nov. 5 election.

"As part of our additional tax cuts, we will end all taxes on overtime," Trump said in remarks at a rally in Tucson, Arizona.

This may do it. First it's tips then it's SSI.

Could this be the coup de grace to the left? I worked a lot of OT in my time. Some guys would not no matter how much they got paid. This would create a lot more go-getters throughout the country.

What I like about it is the left continually giving the earnings of others to their people and Trump wants to reward the achievers. It’s nothing more than a raise. Who would argue? Service workers in Nevada? Could it win us another senate seat?

Think Prop 13 in Calif-1978. The Jarvis initiative.

Employers might prefer to give the work to existing employees they know rather than to start off with pay benefits to a new hire.

*“Exempt” employees often work way beyond 40 hours on salary.
What will they get?*

Those are the ‘management’ employees that work with no OT pay until the democrats went to bat for them. They made less than $50k/yr. GOP blew that one. They’ll be taken care of. It would be like Kamala king a 180 on the tax on tips idea she stole.

I’m waiting for anyone to tackle the debt. Can we please at least begin to pay more than interest? Are we just going to keep going until we’re 60 trillion in debt?

“I’m waiting for anyone to tackle the debt.”

As far as I know Trump removed it from the party’s platform. I guess the problem no longer exists. Now it’s free stuff for everyone.

The only politician in DC who legitimately cares about the debt and wants to shrink the government is Rand Paul.

Look at it like this, from the “elite’s” probable view.

If the USD is no longer a thing in 10 years, There will be no debt....

Better idea. Abolish the income tax and replace it with an incremental national sales tax.

Trump cannot do any of this by himself.

All the details will have to be worked out.

Resolving the dept issue may be included in the details.

I think everyone missed the part where he said he’s doing an audit of the Federal Govt and Musk will head it.

Trump knows a couple things being in business.

1. Opening our energy will take in more revenue than you can ever imagine.
2. The monumental waste in our govt is probably in the trillions of dollars. Yes, it means he’s going to get in office and fire people and depts, like education, and labor all the Jimmy Carter’a bureaucracies. He’ll get rid of these unelected bums.
3. Freeing up our companies from regulation
4. Lowering taxes raises revenues.

I think it’s the tip of the iceberg. He’s said that there are so many untapped ways of taking in money.

No, just the opposite raising the quality of life and lowering debt will go hand in hand.

Have you mailed a litter lately? What is USPS costing us?

I’m way ahead of ya. You can’t get rid of the income tax but it can be lowered to 1% with your fair tax installed but who wants a new tax? The 1% income would the be phased out.

Campaign issue-no. Wait until Jan. 3rd when the new congress begins. Same with SSI.

**What is an “incremental national sales tax”?**

Start with 20% for the first year. Every October congress gets together to vote on the next year’s rate-one year only.Keeps the issue alive just before every other November.

As for gutting the government 10% could be eliminated on day one with no one noticing.

I remember putting 10 hours of over time in. After tax it was 3.21 cents more than a 40 hour week.

That was the last time I did overtime.

“”onald Trump said on Thursday that he will end all taxes on overtime pay””

DUH! Kamala is sitting there puzzling, “What is overtime pay?” “What means that?”
