Hmmm...Yet around 600 BC, Babylon invaded Israel proving they knew of it outside their "world". So I am not sure about the interpretation given.

If Prof. Irving Finkel is commenting on it, it’s bound to be an important and interesting subject.

the bull man depicted almost certainly refers to the Minoan Civilization which would of existed at the same time
To: equaviator
Part of the cuneiform text also alludes to the Babylonians’ belief that mythical creatures including a winged horse, a sea serpent, a scorpion-man and a bull-man lived in various regions throughout the land.

Were they real? Ancient astronaut theorists would say yes

"'So you have, encapsulated in this circular diagram, the whole of the known world in which people lived, flourished and died,' Finkel said." The Babylonians were completely unaware of the Egyptians, Hittites, Minoans and Mycenaeans? That doesn't seem likely.

There we go, Absolutely. They are not literal mythical creatures, they are the symbolic representations of cultures. Just like we have the Eagle representing our nation.

winged horse, a sea serpent, a scorpion-man and a bull-man
I think that is what these are referring to. I am surprised the “experts” wouldn’t think of that.
bull man is so obviously Minoan
To: Openurmind
historically, but now it would be a man wearing a dress ;)

They were trading with them. Even beyond the Indus Valley. So were the Sumerians before them.
