Whenever a blue norther was headed our way, my college roommate and I would call the “time and temperature” every few minutes and plot the change in temperature. “The current time is 8:34 PM. Temperature 34.” You could also call a 1-800 number and get snow conditions for New Mexico ski resorts. “Sugarite at Raton. 6” base. No new snow reported.” We ain’t going there.
