When Drea de Matteo’s character died on The Sopranos, it was agonizing for everyone — including the actress, herself.
In the new documentary Wise Guy: David Chase and The Sopranos, de Matteo, 52, recalled filming the season 5 episode entitled “Long Term Parking,” in which her character Adriana was killed for being an FBI informant. Creator David Chase kept Adriana’s fate under wraps until the very last minute to avoid any possible leaks to the public.

I despised that FBI agent who ‘befriended’ her.
I agree. She was a POS
I never really liked her character anyway but that scene when Silvio took her out was brutal.
I remember my mother crying after that
Drea de Matteo Is one of the more beautiful actresses. She looks a little hard but beautiful at the same time, like she lived through some tough times and came out on top.
She turned rat and wore a wire. What else could they do? And at least Silvio was compassionate enough to reassure her a little when she started getting emotional. He told her Chris was gonna be fine.
That’s kinda nice to keep it a surprise.
Well Chris killed her dog.
Christafuh!!
Best casting ever in that show. Amazing.
You nailed it!!! The little bit of rough makes her even more beautiful I think.
You’re getting emotional.
“That’s because I know what it’s like to lose a pet!”
“Christafuh!!”
Adriana and “Christafuh” were great characters. The show was very dark, and yet it was often darkly funny. The antics of that couple were occasionally laugh-out-loud funny.
Right said, FRiend! A blessing for the eyes.
She was one of many chinks in Kwistafuh’s armor.
As if I needed another reason to hate Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.
[Didn’t Know Her Character Would Die Until the Episode Aired]
Not nearly as bad as not knowing you’re in a snuff film until...
What was the FBI hoping for by recruiting her as an informant anyways. They ought to know that bosses like Tony Soprano don’t sit down with the girlfriends of their men and give them the details of whatever crimes they’ve committed.
They were hoping she would give up Christafuh, and then he in turn would give up Tony.
