There is just about enough evidence of earlier human populations in the Western Hemisphere for a scientific certainty that they've been here at least twice as long as the prior consensus has believed for the past 80-100 years. Their route seems to have been down the Pacific coast from Alaska to about the Puget Sound area about 30,000 - 35,000 years ago. Sea levels then were roughly 100 meters aka 350-400 feet lower than they are today.
