Tucker Carlson hosted 'historian' Darryl Cooper, who went on to claim that the Nazis were simply 'in over their heads.'
Right-wing pundit Tucker Carlson used the latest episode of his online talk show to interview a self-proclaimed “historian” who promoted falsehoods about the Holocaust.
The episode of Carlson’s eponymous show on the social network X, formerly Twitter, earned plaudits from the site’s billionaire owner, Elon Musk, who wrote in a since-deleted post that it was “Very interesting. Worth watching.”
In the interview, Darryl Cooper, author of a Substack with around 112,000 subscribers, told Carlson that the Nazis were simply in over their heads.
“In 1941, they launched a war where they were completely unprepared to deal with the millions and millions of prisoners of war, of local political prisoners,” he said during the 138-minute conversation. Cooper then suggested that the murder of millions in the camps was an unintended consequence of Hitler’s unpreparedness for war, contradicting documented historical fact that it was the explicit goal of the Nazi regime’s Final Solution and carried out through a vast system of mass murder that included extermination camps, gas chambers, military units dedicated to mass executions and firing squads.
“They went in with no plan for that and they just threw these people into camps. And millions of people ended up dead there,” Cooper told Carlson on the episode, which was posted on Monday.

I didn’t watch the episode: did Tucker show his agreement with the ideas without ever challenging Cooper or he simply nodded as a polite host does then started to question them?
Perhaps now and then Tucker can invite all kinds of people with cuckoo ideas (world conspiracies, alien’s influence, etc) in one episode and listen to them politely then just ask questions later on.
Yes, they did. They were proud of it.
Glad he hosted the guy - agree or not.
And them building the camps and The Final Solution, which is traced back to 1942.
“The nature and timing of the decisions that led to the Final Solution is an intensely researched and debated aspect of the Holocaust. The program evolved during the first 25 months of war leading to the attempt at “murdering every last Jew in the German grasp”.”

And during the Wannsee Conference they discussed the Jews living in countries not under German occupation, including the US.
Tomorrow night he’s having a Tucker Carlson Live thing here with Vivek Ramaswamy. The ticket prices keep dropping, even from when I checked this afternoon, so I might go check it out.
The victor gets to write the history books.
He was Rebecca de Mornay’s father!
Can anybody put names to this pic?
Boy do they look like a bunch of arrogant sobs. Not exactly the look of someone who’s ’in over his head’, imho.
I am going to have to watch the interview now. Thank you for the nuanced opinion, not just the “CARLSON HATES THE JEWS, LOVES NAZIS, AND DENIES THE HOLOCAUST!” version.
I won’t accept at face value the versions presented to me by the Left, the Media, and idiots like this maximusmarcus turd and some others on here who, for some reason, have an axe to grind with Tucker Carlson. I can only surmise they are in league with the Left on this.
I am not a fan boy of Carlson, but I appreciate that he openly discusses things the Left (and some on FR) go ballistic about, so my feeling is, if the Left (and people like this marcusmaximus) are triggered by it, it demands closer scrutiny, and endorsement if it deserves it.
“....when Hitler said precisely that’s what he was going to do in “Mein Kampf”?”
Even though Mein Kampf is a poorly written book it should be required reading. Along with “Rules for Radicals” (The Clintons) and Mao’s “Little Red Book”, which Tim Walz would buy all the time on his visits to China and then give them as gifts.

There are threads all over the place with evidence that Carlson is a helluva big holocaust denier.

If not a denier - he’s blaming Churchill.
One can claim Carlson didn't say Churchill was responsible. But he didn't disagee either.
Cooper should stick to his UFO’s are here wackadoodle claims and stop interfering with Holocaust facts.
I did precisely as you are about to do, I actually sat down and watched the entire interview and although I may not agree with everything that was said I came away thinking what’s all the uproar about
Personally, I think most people with really negative comments on the interview never watched it and have a negative impression of Tucker Carlson to begin with.
The people writing the articles are likely people that are jealous of Carlson’s popularity and look for something to make accusations about Carlson in an attempt to damage his reputation
