What do you mean by “Obama’s FR Campaign coordinator”? Did you mean FB?
The big challenge right now is what RFK Jr described in his Tucker Carlson interview. The social media companies earn money by keeping people on the site as long as possible. To do that, they monitor what a person wants to hear and just keep feeding them more and more of the same. It really fits the Scripture about the times coming when people would gather around them those who would tell them what their itching ears want to hear.
And it works with all ideologies. We can surround ourselves only with news that we want to hear, just as leftists do. The end result is that we have literal parallel universes that rarely, if ever, intersect. When they do intersect it’s mostly people just repeating what is in their parallel universe and yelling at the others who are comfortably in their own parallel universe. There’s no body of recognized actual facts. It’s the leftists claiming one thing and conservatives claiming the opposite. Occasionally actual evidence is presented.
To break that cycle we need people who are able to withstand the depression that comes from seeing deceived people post lies, and actually present evidence that reaches into the parallel universes. FR is a great format for presenting and processing evidence. None of the social media platforms come even close to providing real opportunity for in-depth analysis.
I know there are trolls here who are being exposed to factual evidence; their purpose for being here is to try to influence the lurkers. I don’t know how many lurkers there are who frequent liberal sources and give a fair hearing to the evidence presented here. I’d like to believe that the discussions here do make it out to non-Freepers or non-conservatives, but the more we can stay strong enough and reach out to the liberal parallel universe, the better.
I also believe that we are in a critical spiritual war. Only God can save us from the lies and deceit that Satan is brainwashing (or brain-dirtying, I should say) this post-modern world with. So the top priority for all of us should be to pray and to encourage one another. The hope is that this would strengthen us to put the truth out there for those whose minds are open to hear it. But the prayer is absolutely critical because only God can open closed minds, and He can use the circumstances in a person’s life to bring people to their knees where they are better able to hear the truth.
Ultimately when it comes to sharing the truth, personal relationships are the most conducive to respectful, impactful discussions. Content shared either on social media or on FR is most powerful, IMHO, when shared with people in our sphere of influence.
