I hardly ever go there. I mean once every couple of months, if that. Except recently. I got banned from yet another site where I was a long time member because they didn’t like my position and how well, and how politely I was defending myself against the leftists. It motivated me to give X and Reddit a shot. Both were a waste of time. X is nothing but people posting something and then saying something like “what do you think. I’m not that easily baited.
I lost interest. Freerepublic is still the best one.

Maybe you just need a little more balance. I think we all tend to indulge in one thing or another from time to time. But you’re correct, Jesus should always come first.
FR is all you need. The beauty of FR (no finer news aggregate exists imho)is you’ll get the unpleasant news politically as well.

After the 2020 election, I decided to leave drudge for good. Could no longer stand the left leaning platform. I found liberty daily, but it too did not fit the bill. Then I stumbled into Noah Report. It is the polar opposite of drudge.
Well welcome to the club friend, good on you to muster the integrity and comitment. Our own site and the FR is all for me anymore. Haven’t been using Twitter for years now. And I’m done with Youtube completely. I would do some Rumble if anyone would actually post to there.

I’ve only used FR as a social media place for years....tried one other and wasn’t happy there..... I do ‘drop in’ at ‘X’ but it’s not my go to place ‘for news’ unless a major event happening. Plus I look for photos there to bring here. Same thing with Daily Mail.
You do have to put limits on where you spend your time in everything...and be selective.
I remain grateful, to this day, that my hiring company out of college discouraged (almost to the point of forbidding) any activity on social media. FR is as close as I get.

Thanks for posting and sharing. I never got on twitter but know what a time waster it is. FR is enough for me and I also go once a day to Truth Social. Where your feed is only people you follow and I don’t have many. I agree follow Christ and it’s all we really need.
I’m lucky to spend 30 minutes a day on Twitter. If you’re relying on free Republic for your news, you’re missing out on a lot. Hours ago, Dan Bongino posted a video on how it looks like FBI and Secret Service were involved in planting the bombs on January 6th. Where did I see that on X? It’s not on free Republic.
I disliked Twitter but certainly appreciate it and enjoy it now that it is X. I see the posts of people I follow, not the wide world of X. That’s where I get my good conservative news from. Obviously I also come over here to FR for the discussion of the latest news.

I would block 100 anti Trumpers, Musk would send 500 more my way.
