I tried X twice under Musk. It was bullshit, constant stream of anti Trump trash.
I would block 100 anti Trumpers, Musk would send 500 more my way.
It was not for me. Nanny state Mods would give me a time out for BS .
I called Robert Reich a dwarf, that = Hate speech according to Musk and his band of Deep state Muska teers.
I suggested waterboarding the Secret Service Woman, Cheatle, in order to learn the truth about the Trump Assassination attempt.
Elon and his band of freaks said I was promoting violence.
Self weighed in on this type of issue just today. Apparently, the algorithm that it already used would send you more of things that you look at and read. If you sign up to follow people that you would like, and you tend to read them then you’ll start receiving mainly things from them. if you read people very much, and then block them, you’ll probably end up being fed some things from them.
I think the best strategy is to begin following a lot of people that you can tell that you agree with first, so that you start getting a good flow of things. Then, diving into the bad guys a little bit won’t ruin things for you.
As you know, the bad guys are so stupid that it scares helps to read them much. We get exposed to enough of the bad guys here on free republic just fine. However, I get a lot of news from good guys on x.com that I don’t necessarily see here.
Mask seems to be aware of the issue, and I think he has people working on better algorithms.

Two week ban for suggesting that Stephen King should go all in Buddhist monk and self immolate.
If that’s what you click on, X will give you more of it. But I find that stream useful in many ways. As the old saying goes: “It is good to know what tunes the Devil is playing.” When you see the coordinated opinions being disseminated and all of the lemmings leaping into action to repost them, it is easier to counter the arguments they are making. On FR there really isn’t much disagreement on the big issues - to the point where we can’t even understand the other side’s reasons for believing what they believe.
X has also taught me what I call the “48 hour rule” - never repost or comment on any news item for at least 48 hours because a lot of fake or exaggerated stories are being put out there to make conservatives look like Pavlovian idiots. It is useful to hold your fire most of the time, until greater clarity can be achieved.
I’ve never been admonished on X and I say the same there as here
I call him Robert (Third) Reich. Even on his threads.
