Send some suits up for them on the Dragon.

NASA: Hey, Elon, can you pick our astronauts up from the space station?
Elon: Ugh. Fine.
NASA: And can you bring up a couple of spare spacesuits?
Elon: What?!
To: george76
What? No standardized space suits? :)

They have a clown named Bill Nelson running NASA these days...another wornout political hack!

Sounds like a scene from Apollo 13. "We need to make this, fit into the hole for this, using nothing but that".

Fer crissake, even the Russians made their aircraft fuel fittings compatible with US stuff.
These clowns all used a different design standard?

If I was Elon, the only way those astronauts would come back on my ship is if Boeing agreed to jettison their hunk of metal into the Sun.
Then and only then would I let anyone hitch a ride home. Oh, and Boeing would have to agree to make a public statement that it was a SpaceX vessel that had to rescue their astronauts.

This is an old, outdated article. It’s been posted before.
The Starliner astronauts are coming back on SpaceX Dragon in February 2025. SpaceX is bringing up two suits fitted for those astronauts.

Give me a break. We got Apollo 13 home by just using duct tape and cardboard.
Oh, I guess we will just leave them to die in outer space … /sarc

This is so strange to me.
We put a man on the moon, but we can’t send a spacecraft promptly to bring them home. ,seems, odd to me.
To: george76
I expect SpaceX will figure something out.
Is the rescue going to be paid for by NASA?
Or will SpaceX foot the bill and count it as public relations or something?

Back in the 1960’s we had actual engineers with a slide rule that could fix this and even use duct tape if necessary.
