Forget about free speech. When you start going for refrigerators, it’ll turn into a blood sport real fast.

Everybody1 will live in shanty towns.
It's only fair, right? Or so they believe.

No refrigeration means drugs like insulin go bad. No insulin means diabetics die.

The entire green movement is like a watermelon; Green on the outside, red on the inside.

One of my co-workers has new Gas Stoves and Hot Water heaters stored in his barn for when the Communist ban them.

No refrigerator means my bacon will go bad. I’d rather die fighting the Communist pricks than give up my bacon.

Back in the 1800s the (IIRC) third biggest business in the US was ice.

We would harvest ice and ship it all over the world.

Just a bit of history.

I don’t own a house that they can take from me. I don’t own a fridge, stove, washer or dryer they can take from me. I don’t own a car they can take from me. I’ve lived in apartments most of my adult life, and for about 5 years, I’ve been leasing my vehicles. If they ever come for my books, they’re dead.

There was one episode where they came across a reptilian alien race that wanted to save earth by ridding it of its carbon-based li...I mean carbon-footprint

The US alone boasts around 5.5 million cubic feet of refrigerated space (that’s 150 Empire State Buildings!)

Arithmetic. The volume of the Empire State Building may be roughly approximated as a 200 by 150 by 1200 foot solid. That is 36 million cubic feet. Multiplying by 150 we get about 5.4 billion cubic feet of storage. That sounds more like the USA capacity. The 5.5 million figure might fit a country like Rwanda or Haiti.

This is nothing more than a tribulation prep. Things will be so bad that people will be glad to live in a shack.

While I enjoy having a refrigerator for the convenience, I can go without in case of a collapse of society or the economy.

Some food items are shelf stable and others can be stored in root cellars or preserved by fermentation, salting, dehydration or canning.
