After a Takata airbag rearranged my mom’s face, let’s say my airbags are not quite as ‘trigger happy’.

If you’re at a drive in, bench seats proved to be dangerous.

The warning label icons and caveats are priceless. Pretty much summed up as “Don’t Be A Moron.”

Stupidity and ignorance are contagious diseases.

Hey now! There may be quite a few of us that have to thank bench seats for being here.

As safety goes I would opt for an 50’s car over a self driving car any time.

When it comes to car crashes over 50 mph the risks are the same with old or new.

Watched the video.

It was so full of inaccuracies and downright misinformation to make it little more than a very poorly executed joke.

Anyone can put up something on YouTube. They don’t need to know what they are talking about.

It was fun seeing some of the old cars, though.

It is a good thing that the water balloon bumpers were phased out for modern, break away styrofoam bumpers.

Sorry, not going to watch a 22 minute video just to find out what the old car dangerous features are. Why didn’t you post a summary?

Why are hood ornaments dangerous? Unless you fall on one from a 3 story building, they’re not really a problem. The biggest issue with them is they get stolen.

Just as I don’t blame guns for murder, I don’t blame cars for accidents. I lies almost 100% on the operator, not the inanimate object.
I’ve logged 100’s of thousands of miles in ‘57 Chevys, and have only been injured by hitting my head on the hood latch, when the hood is open. (it hurts) Have never been in an accident in one, wonder why that is?

The risks are indeed the same. The difference is that cars are made to absorb energy. It’s called crash energy management. In the old days cars were built like tanks. Hit a tree and you will dent the bumper and go through the windshield. Today the car is destroyed and you may walk away from the accident. But I did love those bench seats.
