I've been a fan of watching YouTube accounts of Near Death Experiences lately. There are certain common elements:
Various neuroscientists have stated that simple biological processes of death produce these effects. Maybe the tunnel and the light can be explained by this, but the rest? No way. I cannot think that mere biological processes could manifest such a detailed series of accounts. Nor is there any evolutionary benefit to these processes, obviously... you are dead, right? Evolution is highly unlikely to be a factor here.
So this, to me, seems like quasi-scientific proof of a God. Now, religions have added all sorts of nonsense around these concepts, since almost to a person, the subject of an NDE describes a God that is utterly nonjudgemental and loving. So, take the 10 Commandments: Seems like the 10 Commandments were written to make OUR lives better, and it is not some cosmic scorecard that God is judging us on.
One person I know personally that had an NDE, would not talk a lot about it, but the one thing he did relate is that 'all the nonsense religion spouts? The beings on the other side, they don't care. Just be loving.'
And that aligns with what Jesus said: To love God with all your heart, and to love your fellow man.

I very seldom use the term “mind” as it is not well defined.
When I use the term “soul,” I often refer to it as the “individual soul” to distinguish it as separate from the “awakened soul” which is what happens after Jesus and the Holy Spirit move in and blend with the individual soul.
I know you are using the term in a derogatory way, and it doesn’t matter to me as I consider where you are at in your own spiritual growth.
When you learn to cling to Jesus and feel and fully experience His Love, you will realize that you wrre like the Pharisees, clinging to every word of the scriptures as they interpreted it and constantly trying to defend their rigid legalism as they argued with Jesus.
Jesus taught Love. There is no greater command. Without Love, you are nothing and your soul will not grow.
Remember Jesus’s words, “I have not come to judge, but to save.” Why do people, including me, fall into the trap of judging others?
If you feel your heart is hard and you feel contempt for me, then Jesus is not in you. If you say that you Love Jesus but do not Love your neighbor, you are a liar.
I constantly say these same words to myself as a reminder as satan is constantly trying to create separation and chaos.
I say these words with much Love in hopes that you too fully accept Jesus into your heart and not limit Him to your “mind.” ( I used the term mind here in an attempt at humor.)🤗

The worst was learning the machine language Assembler on punched cards. Hundreds of cards for a simple program... and if you dropped the deck and the cards fell out of order, you were screwed.
When I say “I consider where you are at in your own spiritual growth.” I do not mean to be derogatory. It is my desire that everyone fully experience God’s Love that is beyond words of description.
We are all equal in our potential. No one, including me, is Loved by God any more or less than anyone else.

Our pastor has been doing a sermon series on Jonah. He reminded us of the verse:
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness in this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
Jonah hated the people of Nineveh because they were so wicked. But God had different plans for them. And our pastor said how we should not view people that disagree with us - even our enemies - as the ones that are evil - but that it is Satan. (And of course Satan playing on our weaknesses as well.)
Our battle is not with our boss, our spouse, the other political party, etc. It is with Satan. That doesn’t mean we put up with the wickedness, but we need to remember who we are really fighting.

Always good to be reminded from time to time about who is behind the curtain.
When I feel a negative thought or dark spirit in or near me, my immediate mantra is “I take refuge in Jesus.” It works.

Satan fools people because he can “shape shift”. And these people pretend to be prophets, or special. Oh, they’re “special” all right — in Satan’s eyes.

People who think they’ve had these experiences should understand ... they’re not from God. Nobody has died and come back to life.

Satan cannot turn himself into an angel of light as you say. He can only emulate one.
That’s a BIG difference.
You should listen to what the Bible says..
1 Timothy 2: 11-12
“11 A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. 12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet.
I'm about to get into a whole crap-ton of trouble. I'm donning my flame-retardant Nomex suit.
But this one bothers me. This is, to my eye, almost Koranic in nature. I'm not sure I want women to be quiet and in full submission.
There are other Biblical assertions I take a little issue with, such as the prohibition of wearing clothing woven of two or more fabrics.
And there are other Biblical assertions that are controversial to others that I am aligned positively with, such as the prohibition on homosexuality.
Now I am certain of one thing: That I will be flamed, told I am going to hell, and that I am 'picking and choosing' what I like from the Bible. Perhaps I am. But that verse about women just grates against me, fundamentally (pardon the pun).

Depends on if you’re using KJV (”actual”) or some dumbed-down, airy-fairy, feel-good version.
Seriously? I learned in quietness and submission, both growing up in a parsonage, and later in seminary.
I don’t preach or attend churches where women do. I don’t teach.
