Ms. Pick, who is married to the Texas multimillionaire and megadonor Doug Deason, claims she was defamed, even though Mr. Raffensperger’s book never mentioned her by name.

The precedent was set when Alex Jones was successfully sued for millions of dollars by an FBI agent whose name he never mentioned and the only thing that happened was the guy was contacted by a journalist.

The end of the rule-of-law is a two-way street, Mr. Ratzobooger.

IMO, Raffensperger is a leftist snake who collaborated with Democrats in the famous “consent decree” to help fix the cheat in Georgia for the 2020 elections.

“He wrote that the video “had been deceptively sliced and edited.”

Has anyone ever seen the supposed un-deceptively sliced and edited video? I hope she bankrupts him.

Let Raffensperger use some of the $$$ from his offshore accounts. I have no sympathy for him!

The NY Times knows that if Ratso gets nailed for defamation in this case, the Times itself can be next in almost any controversy that it reports on.

Welcome to the club, Raffensperger.

It’s a big club. Plenty of members. Members comprised of Trump associates, lawyers and friends who dared speak up for election integrity.

Only to be singled out by the Stasi to either renounce Trump or go to jail.

Trump’s lawyers should not give this turd a moment’s rest after he loses this suit!

You know he’s going to file for bankruptcy to avoid paying damages.

I hope they stay on the case until this a**hole pays-up or dies!

Georgia’s fish stinks from the head.

I’m not sure there’s time to cut it off.

Brad Raffensperger, Georgia’s Republican secretary of state, has been forced to spend half a million dollars defending himself in court for having stood up to former President Donald J. Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

That snake belongs in prison. Trump wasn't trying to "overturn" the election, he was trying to *STOP* the overturn of the election, which happened anyways, thanks in no small part to that snake Raffensperger.

For an event for which there is no evidence, there sure seems to be a lot of evidence about the stolen election of 2020.

Multiple news media outlets and the secretary of state’s office have debunked the claims of election fraud made in the video presentation to legislators.

No they didn't. They put forth their lying opinion and deliberate misdirection, then *CLAIMED* they "debunked" it.

It isn't debunked. The evidence has come out showing ridiculously excessive and unnatural series of votes for Biden at the exact time these corrupt election workers were running the *EXACT SAME STACK* of ballots through the counters over and over again.

if I understand correctly, Restitution from Lawsuits cannot be wiped via bankruptcy.

Which is why Guliani is in the hole he’s in.

“Multiple news media outlets and the secretary of state’s office have debunked the claims of election fraud...”

“Debunking” requires proving a claim is factually false. Proving that the 2020 Presidential election in Georgia was not decided by illegal votes has not occurred. It is impossible to prove a negative, particularly when election officials did not keep chain of custody records, or have impartial witnesses to all counting, signatures and addresses were not verified, digital images and physical records were destroyed, etc.

NYT, SHOW ME THE DEBUNKING.

They already proved it. The ballot images, required to be kept, are missing. That’s fraud. We will never know who really won Georgia in 2020.

This is per Politico

From election hero to zero: Georgia official’s dismissal of security audit could mean trouble in 2024 (June 2023)

https://www.politico.com/news/2023/06/23/brad-raffensperger-georgia-dominion-voting-00103298

“Raffensperger argues that a newly unsealed audit finding that there are dangerous vulnerabilities in Georgia’s widely used voting machine software is overblown and no fixes are needed.”

But Raffensperger’s dismissive reaction to the unsparing audit conducted by security expert Alex Halderman has turned him into an object of intense criticism from cybersecurity specialists, who say he is painting legitimate research with the brush of far-right conspiracy theories — and imperiling the 2024 elections in the process.

But a chorus of cybersecurity analysts and election-security experts argue that there’s enough lead time right now to make changes and that fixing a documented issue with the machines is the best way to prevent vote-tampering or disinformation in 2024.

Raffensperger’s decision not to fix these systems represents “the height of irresponsibility,” Halderman said in an interview. “Even if there’s no actual attack, you better believe that there are people who are going to use the existence of these problems to call into question the results of elections.”

While the coalition has been arguing since it first filed its case in 2017 that Georgia’s voting machines aren’t secure enough, Halderman’s audit — approved by a federal court in Georgia in 2021 — confirmed a number of easy-to-hack security holes.

In a matter of weeks, he concluded that even moderately skilled hackers could install malware on an ImageCastX or a connected printer to flip votes at individual polling stations or even across the state.

Overall, Halderman’s audit uncovered nine vulnerabilities in Dominion’s software, the U.S. government’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, or CISA, has confirmed. The agency first reviewed the report under seal and then warned publicly about the nine flaws in June of last year.

“The fundamental problem here is that Georgia decided (against expert advice) to use QR codes for ballots,” said Rob Graham, an election security expert who has studied false claims of election interference in 2020. “That means there’s no way for voters to verify their votes haven’t been altered by the ballot-marking devices.”

Just another non-partisan, objective lead-in to another article with absolutely no propagandist agenda from the NYSlimes. *spit*
