When facing a group of teens with an obvious disregard for human life you would have to have little regard for your own life to try and intervene in their wilding.
I think he was brave to record their crimes with his cell phone.
They could have taken notice of his recording of their crimes and decided to violently take his phone away from him.

I’ve lived in “Little Saigon” for 35 years and am pretty good at spotting Asians.
Asians don’t act like that, even in gangs, they’re much smaller.
You get some Black dudes riled up, sprinkle in a couple of latinos, and things can get explosive real fast.
I’m not just making this stuff up, it comes from several decades of observation, not just neighborhood gossip, but through many friends, family and loved ones who verified this.

Santa Cruz County(South of San Jose and San Fransicko) Sheriff hand CCW’s out like candy. San Benito, and As far as I know, Monterey Counties too. Santa Clara Sheriff are still stonewalling, but local PD’s are handing them out. Takes longer time, but unlike before, They are forced to issue.
Did you miss the part where a young, apparently unarmed woman actually went to the victim and pulled him away from the criminals? She didn’t go in fighting, she just got him out of their looting of the car.

I thought Asians were generally smaller in stature, but it’s not always true, and if they’re from mixed parents, their height won’t necessarily follow their Asian standard height range. Plenty of male Chinese, Thai and others from the Eurasian continent are 6 feet and even a little taller.
One other point, these hoodlums may be generations away from what we know of general Asian culture and behavior, Americanized, as it were.

When I said Asian Gangs were generally smaller, I didn’t mean their individual statues, I meant in number.
There simply aren’t gangs of 30+ Asians on bikes, beating up other Asians. Just doesn’t happen in those numbers. They operate in numbers five max.
