I’ve always thought that Lebron James was an arrogant scumbag.

A person doesn’t owe another person their time, regardless of how famous they are.

And the more famous, the more time is expected.

People like Lebron are very famous and there isn’t enough time in anyone’s life to meet those expectations.

One can point out interactions that look bad and yet ignore the times they e been kind and generous, many times outweighing the times they came off looking bad.

I’ve seen more evidence on generosity from James than incidents like this.

It’s not hero worship, btw. It’s appreciation of the rare talent and the distaste in watching jealous people who haven’t accomplished a fraction of the people they are insulting anonymously.

And the Coke commercial was meant to sell product, not real life.

Kids are paid to walk up to stars to get autographs, and those autographs are sold. The signings do happen, but all those guys know the effort is going to be sold.

The bodyguards usually keep everyone away, even kids, to prevent events just like this one. Another trick is to offer a handshake but no autograph.

There is a lot more going on here than you guys are aware of.

When I was a flight attendant, I once worked Chief Purser on a red eye flight from LA to Orlando with Magic Johnson in first class. He was traveling alone and was an absolute class act. I have never seen a man so pestered in all my life. Grown-ass men would come up to first class and poke him in the shoulder just as he was falling asleep. He was so patient. I finally had to make an announcement for people to quit coming up to first class. He looked up at me and mouthed the words, "Thank you!"

He is a great player but he also jumped on teams that already had great talent on them. He never stayed on one team like Jordan, Bird, Magic and Kobe. Those guys stayed with their team and lead them to the top. LeBron jumped on teams that were already heading to the playoffs.
