This post by me is wrong.
His words and deeds during the potential deployment/retirement debacle and his later dissembling about it could be described as Stolen Valor but the results of his actions that I see I’d call Abandoned Valor.
He does not deserve the vote of any veteran.
A Command Sergeant Major isn’t anyone’s “superior officer”
The Commie veterans and the Commie serving military will vote for “Backdoor Timmy”.
You and I know that, but a failed English major like Ross O'Keefe wouldn't know that.
I knew it was wrong, but it's part of the title, and I didn't want the thread to get yanked.
Military family here. Never served, but the rest of my male family members did - just like you. Squids, Air Force and regular Army, unlike you, Devil Dog.

In photo, Walz is wearing a camo hat bearing the U.S. Army Special Forces crest. Walz was never a member of the Special Forces. Wearing a hat in support of such a prestigious organization is frowned upon in military veteran circles.
Walz - D eceiver. Words and Deeds.
“It’s interesting that the same Minnesota National Guard people who apparently elevated him are now cr@pping all over him for bailing before deployment...”
No, that’s not what I’m saying. What I’m saying is that somewhere in the Minnesota NG Walz had connections within the leadership, above his superior CSM Julin. These connections not only allowed him to retire, but bent the rules to allow him out of his obligations of enlistment term, SGM Academy requirements, and loyalty to his unit/men.
“It’s interesting that the same Minnesota National Guard people who apparently elevated him are now cr@pping all over him for bailing before deployment...”
Walz is the classic “kiss up punch down” jerk.
He abandoned his men when they needed him—like all bad bosses in a time of crisis.
I believe Walz is a Blue Falcon, but I don’t understand this statement.
“The other issue that came out of this was that the individual that approved this was two levels higher than myself in the enlisted corps and should have had Tim Walz come back to me and discuss why he was going forward or not going forward now after he already told me he was going forward,” he said.
Command Sgt. Maj. (CSM) Doug Julin, as far as I know was the Division’s CSM. There is no enlisted rank higher in the Division. Who or what was the individual that was two levels higher than CSM Doug Julin?
Backdoor? I thought he had to have his *stomach* pumped free of horse paste...
Wow, you;re not kidding.
At that particular time, I would like to know what exactly was his rank.
There is no way he could have been a CSM and no explanation how or when he achieved that rank.
“Walz is a Blue Falcon”
Now there’s a term I haven’t heard in decades thanks for the laugh!
Perhaps he could quit any time after he had his first 20 years, also, I don’t know how the full system works but being prior regular Army, when I joined the Guard I would enlist and reenlist one year at a time.
Does he use the same back door as Bootyjuj?
