An artist’s metaphoric depiction.

Tells me all I need to know.

It is nearly common knowledge that microwaves excite H20 molecules, but apparently they can be used to heat other substances as well. I started skimming before half way through the article because TLDR and ADHD, but I am wondering if they would need to feed a substance into the plasma or if it perpetually remains static and useful as long as you are providing energy into the emitter system.

Oh, oh...say goodbye to Venn diagrams and yellow school buses.
Hello to tokamak fusion plasma.

Every element has a natural resonant frequency.

Generate that frequency and the substance will absorb the energy, its electrons will be raised to higher and higher levels until the Weak Atomic Force is overcome and they can be manipulated with magnetic controls................

My wife would cook the fusion for like 15 seconds and say it was done perfectly, while I’d put it in for like 5 minutes and 30 seconds to bring it to a piping hot bowl of delicious lava.

They seem really bothered about losing heat. What are they gonna use to generate electricity from the reaction?

heating steam to generate mechanical force to create electricity is the old standby model. But ideally, wouldn’t you prefer to insulate the heat?

few things are more compelling than an artist’s metaphoric depiction of something. such have been used successfully to raise countless sums of investment over the course of history.

Well, the plasma needs to be heated to very high temperature to start the fusion. Once it starts, it should generate a lot of energy.
Fusion is how Sun generates its energy. Fusing Hydrogen into Helium has incredible energy potential, gallon of water has potential energy of 660 gallons of gas. Clean energy, And even Helium is useful, we now have a big shortage of it!
We could burn oceans for a vey long time. Forget the windmills, solar, coal and gas.
But it is tricky to control.

So you can use a nuclear-powered microwave to power your toaster? Cool.
