We had a Chihuahua for 20 years and was very old. She would chase after the cat and bark when we let her out to do her business if she saw it. The cat would take off for parts unknown for a while.

In her last days she could barely walk and had to be taken outside and then she would just sit.

About a week before she died, the cat came up to her and nuzzled her head all over the dog’s head. She didn’t bark, growl or anything. I was amazed.

It was like she knew the dog was about to go and was telling her that she would take care of us from now on....................

We had nothing but Dachshunds during our married life. We lost our last one unexpectedly about three years ago and were still heartbroken over it when the cat came along. I am normally very allergic to cats and even some types of dogs, so we were trying to find a home for it. But after having more contact with our big red Siberian it turned out that he didn't cause much of a reaction.

Here is a funny video about cats being “badass”. You think more about dogs standing up for their owners, but many cats can be more amazing than people expect, and indeed our cat has shown itself to be fearless.
