I remember that stupid game.

That game came out in 1965 and I have always seen it as a real “cusp” artifact for Baby Boomers. It has a sort of Eisenhower Era feel of nicely dressed young people starting out their lives in a sophisticated social scene for young people. But 1965? Hello 1967! Summer of Love! We’re all hippies here! The “Mystery Date” game seemed to come out at the most awkward possible time in terms of social evolution. It’s not a Mickey Mouse Club crowd anymore — we’re all headed towards Woodstock.
