Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday congratulated Nicolas Maduro on winning the disputed Venezuelan election, and the Kremlin said it was deepening cooperation in all areas - including sensitive ones - with Caracas.

"Russian-Venezuelan relations have the character of a strategic partnership," Putin said in a message to Maduro, the Kremlin said. "I am confident that your activities at the head of state will continue to contribute to their progressive development in all directions."

FYI exit polls are illegal in Venezuela. And thus, no exit sampling can take place in any quantity to be meaningful.
The Maduro opposition went public last night saying that there was talk of exit polls and that they, the opposition, agreed that such things are illegal and cannot be accurate. And the agreed with them being illegal.
As to the election being bogus, why of all places should we see on FR this acceptance of the MSM narrative?

In Europe only the extreme far left parties oppose sanctioning Russia.
The far left party in Sweden was the only one refusing Swedens NATO membership, they were communists in the past and they have always supported Russia. Swedens’s far right party was the one who pushed the hardest for Sweden’s NATO membership. All far right parties in Europe including Italia’s Melony heavily supports Ukraine’s right to defend its border against the Kremlin sponsored land grabbers. In America we want our border respected as well. Thus we are exactly like the Ukrainians.
Then we have Hungary’s Victor Orban. He was supposed to be far right, but he is not. Economically speaking he is a social democrat. His country survives only thanks to massive (!) EU subsidies. The EU is his life line.
However, he doesn’t won’t to upset Russia, since he is 100% dependent on Russian oil imports. Thus, the Kremlin holds him in a leash, which makes Hungary a corrupted country. Europe is fed up paying and paying for his countries survival. It’s time Hungary becomes conservative and start to work a bit for its own economy. Getting everything for free is what Orban wants. A typical socialist mindset.

Maduro has Dominion over Venezuela.
Russia loses 1000 men a day in order to gain a few tiny villages after months of bloodshed. It has zero strategic benefit for Russia. Russia fell into the Ukrainian trap. Ukraine giving up a few insignificant villages but get rewarded by a massive destruction among Russian soldiers. In term the mothers in Russia will wake up, once again, and it will be yet another revolution for the Kremlin to endure.
Russia is truly a land of chaos, an example of disorganization. Every week Generals are being sacked in Russia... what is going on on that “army” ?

We’ve had this conversation before and I stand by it.
There are people on Free Republic who are pro-Russian. They think Putin is cool and a first class world leader.
They get a Chris Matthews-style thrill up their leg while thinking about him. They believe America is bad and Putin is good. They believe America is an aggressor and all the problems in the world are our fault.
They like Putin and by legitimate default admire Iran, Venezuela and China because hose countries all have dictatorial strongmen running that country too.
They claim to be America Firsters and isolationists - but truth be told, their allegiance is to Russia and their weird thrill about Putin. In short, they (yourself included) are their heirs to the “Blame Anerica First” disease that has infected the United States for the last 75 years.
I have no such love towards Zelensky and Ukraine - definitely not the kind of warped love you have towards Putin and Russia. I am motivated more by seeing Russia pay for what they have done in the past, both monetarily and in blood.

One thing is certain. Russia is officially part of the Iran-Russia-North Korea Alliance (secretly supported by Communist China). Any one who support any of these countries is proactively working for weakening America as a strong independent nation. The work against American nationalism. But they work FOR the Alliance’s nationalists goals... The Iran-Russia-North Korea Alliance is attacking our own allies : Israel and Ukraine. We must continue to resist aggression.
