Russia is absolutely making fun of the woke Olympics.

I thought the whole thing was boring so I switched back and forth to the ballgame but I saw a bunch of ????? walking/prancing on a runway and couldn’t figure out what that was supposed to be...thought it looked pretty odd...was that what everyone is talking about? Just not an opening ceremony we’re all used to and took away any enthusiasm for the games themselves. Looked like everyone and their dog had to take part in passing the torch. Whoever thought that idea up needs their head examined...
Did see Celine Dion singing and that was great!!! Couldn’t understand letting the piano get wet tho’...I read she was paid a million dollars to perform. Even a million dollars wouldn’t get me up that high!!
I went to bed with the TUNE she sang in my head and I couldn’t place the song - I knew the music and the words - not French - but had to look for it first thing when I got up this morning. It was an Edith Piaf song - Brenda Lee sang it - “If You Love Me”...Boy - that woman (Piaf) had quite a life.. Different versions online of who and why that song was written...
I’ll stick to baseball..
Maria Zakharova about the opening ceremony:
“On the eve of the Olympics opening in France, a chef of Russian origin was detained and accused of espionage and attempting to “disrupt the event.”
I wasn’t planning to watch the opening ceremony. But after seeing the photos, I couldn’t believe they weren’t deepfakes or photoshopped.
So:
1. On the eve of the ceremony, reports emerged that even some French athletes would not be allowed to participate because they compete in their traditional attire.
2. On the day of the opening, France was hit by a transportation collapse. Some “malefactors” were blamed for the “sabotage.”
3. The ridiculous open-air opening ceremony forced spectators to sit for hours in pouring rain, with organizers failing to arrange for cloud dispersal or canopies.
4. Those who managed to reach their seats despite the rain left because the nonsensical arrangement of spectator seating prevented them from seeing anything.
5. At the Sochi Games, Western media disliked the dogs. In Paris, they smiled at the rats infesting the city’s streets.
6. The city center turned into a ghetto for the homeless who flocked to the Games’ opening.
7. During the parade of nations, the teams of North Korea and South Korea were mixed up.
8. The Olympic torch was carried by drug-addicted rapper Snoop Dogg to the lyrics, “Da, da, da, da, it’s the motherfuckin’ D-O-double-G.”
9. In the show, the Olympic flag was carried by one of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse, hinting at the end of the world. French experts envision this as a digital apocalypse where humans are dethroned by a robotic model with AI instead of a soul.
10. One of the main performances of the Olympics was an LGBT mockery of the sacred Christian event—the Last Supper of Christ. The apostles were portrayed by transvestites. It seems Paris decided that since the Olympic rings are multicolored, everything could be turned into one big gay parade.
11. The climax was the logically inverted Olympic flag, hoisted upside down over Paris.
I wonder how many more “spies” would have been needed to make the Paris Olympics opening such a spectacular failure?
This isn’t rock bottom.”
This is the bottom of the Seine.
“The Olympic Games @Olympics The freedom to love is no less sacred than the freedom to think. -Victor Hugo”
I’m feel so dumb - all these years I thought the Olympics was a sporting competition.
It appears to have been made in 2021. They missed the date where the freaks took total control by 36 years.
“Russia is absolutely making fun of the woke Olympics.”
And well they should!
Me too.
Good for Russia.
They’re absolutely correct to mock this freak show.
The French deserve all the criticism that is coming their way.
What a shame. Paris was a beautiful city.
Putin Santa ad is still the #1 best.
“SVIMVERRRRR!!!”
I hear Zelensky is PO’d that he wasn’t invited to perform in the opening ceremony. /s
I felt the same way I did when I saw that gilette commercial demonizing men, only worse because this is a major international event and the intro contained major intentional blasphemy against Christianity.
