Knowing the French they had every one of those boats diesel engines running off $4 per liter biodiesel cost meh it’s French tax payers money. They refused a fossil fuel Calderon fire it’s water mist and LEDs they 100% had biodiesel or natural gas in those boats I bet with a little looking the French will say as such. Not that biodiesel is bad it has much better lubrication than #2 so much so pumps last twice as long so do injectors. My F250 runs B20 for that very reason it drastically improves injectors life in a hot climate like Texas especially.
It is despicable.
The 1980 Moscow games were boycotted by most of the west over the soviets in Afghanistan so very few people in the west ever saw those opening ceremonies since all the western broadcasters weren’t there. I happened to catch a film of it a year or so after the fact at a replay theatre. It was an over the top spectacle that made me think the only way LA in 1984 could top it would be by launching the space shuttle from the middle of the stadium. Those were the days when the Olympics were a propaganda front in the cold war and we cared a bit about it back then.
What a freaking clown show.
