Wednesday marked the 90 year anniversary of Chicago’s hottest “official” temperature on record: July 24, 1934 the mercury reached 105 degrees. Note: one day earlier at Midway Airport (not official at the time) logged a high temperature of 109 degrees.

Yeah. The 1930’s had hot weather. Remember the Dust Bowl days and the novel Grapes of Wrath. All this proves that the weather is always fluctuating and that the climate change agenda is a hoax designed to control the population.
Nearly everywhere else in the region suffered worse in 1936. Even North Dakota saw temps over 100. NE Illinois was worse, some places it was over 110. Thousands of people in the US died in the heat wave that summer.
According to my family historians it was pretty bad in NYC also, and no a/c. :(
If they stopped adjusting the temperatures, 1930 ties will be still the hottest time on record.
Not that it matters so much.
All this record temperatures are regarding a really short temperature data records.
In the US, the data go little over 200 years back in places and around 100 years back in others.
It would be around 0.0000001% of all the Earth age!
