Swifties?

Oh wait... Duh-Duh-dummycrats:

"The TV, and a singer, tell us who to vote for and that's who we vote for. We don't like to think, or read, or anything like that." 🥳

Interestingly, a lot of states reduced the drinking age to 18 but, seeing it for the catastrophe it was, they rescinded it and it returned to 21. They really need to do the same with the voting age.

Many people don’t realize that Swift was born a billionaire. I believe her dad is a hedge fund manager.

When she was a teen, her dad purchased some recording and studio equipment for her to have at home. He traveled with her to Nashville to help “buy” her a career.

Taylor Swift isn’t super talented, nor is she a “self-made” billionaire. I can’t understand the obsession with Swift and her “mimbo” (male bimbo) boyfriend.

Not all of them. I work with four women that paid up to go to her show at Gillette last summer.
One of the three(39) took her teenage daughter.
The other three are in their mid to late twenties.

I do not think that any of those four women in my office would be influenced to vote for Kamala.

One of them just had her first child. She is a conservative outdoorsy woman(archery hunter, fisher, etc)

Another is 39 and has two teenage kids in private school. She is a conservative.

The third is from a working class Dem family. But she thinks Kamala is an idiot.

The fourth I am not sure. 24 year old girl. Still lives at home. Young rich girl.

“I found Lady Gaga repugnant.”

I found Lady Gaga to be Dee Snyder.
And repugnant.

How pathetic they must be to want to get their political advice from a dippy-dipwad like Taylor Swift.

As I have written, many times, when you are the “biggest thing in the world,” there is only one direction to go: DOWN THE CHUTE TO THE BOTTOM.

Michael Jackson was the biggest celebrity on Earth until one day, he was yesterday’s old newspaper to be crumpled up and tossed out with the garbage.

A SWIFT descent is coming soon! I can hear the fickle girls now, “SHE’S NOT ALL THAT !”

I don’t know much about her, so thank you for that background.

That said, if she was a just a pop star interested in making money, I would have zero problem with it, as you can guess.

But she seems bound and determined to use her platform, audience, and money to influence the course of this country in what I see as a completely destructive way.

I cannot comment on her music, as I don’t listen at all, to any of it.

But being a conservative, posting on FR, it isn’t surprising I would look askance at someone who uses their fame and money to advance the causes of people I regard as enemies of this Republic.

I try not to pass judgement on people who like her music, but it is difficult for me, in the same way I see buying a car from a company that has UAW workers building it, because their money goes to those same kind of people.

I wish I could go back to a time in my life when that kind of thing meant less to me, but I guess things once seen cannot be unseen.
