The U.S. Secret Service is encouraging former President Trump not to hold large outdoor rallies in some instances following the assassination attempt on the Republican presidential nominee, the Washington Post first reported Tuesday and Axios can confirm.
Why it matters: It's signature Trump to hold large outdoor rallies, per a source, who emphasized that this didn't mean he wouldn't hold another big-crowd event outside. But the shift to deciding on a case-by-case basis whether to hold an event indoors or outdoors is part of increased security measures following the Pennsylvania rally shooting.

My inderstanding is that the next 4 events were all inside and booked before the assassination attempt.
Looks like they’re trying to minimize Trump’s exposure to campaign crowds. Looks like campaign interference to me!
Trump needs to form his own protective security detail to coordinate and control the stupid and corrupt government drones and work with local police
We won’t secure the closest building that has direct site to your podium, knew he was in the crowd an hour before and people were screaming that there was a guy with a gun on top of the building, so we are gonna have to have you stop having large outdoor rallies. BECAUSE WE CAN’T DO OUR F’ing JOB!!!
Perhaps if you didn’t allow shooters on roofs you could have outdoor events?
This is almost sounding like a THREAT.
To put it another way, they’re saying: “If you know what’s good for you, you won’t do outdoor rallies.”
I don’t know the US Code, but I suspect that there is a law REQUIRING the SS to protect the president indoors, or OUTDOORS.
Personally, I don’t see how Trump can trust any of the 3 lettered agencies OR the agency tasked with guarding him.
He needs to hire his own security and he needs to tell the SS and Homeland security to pound sand. I DON”T TRUST YOU GUYS!!!!!
As I recall, Trump started holding more outdoor rallies after he was denied renting some large auditoriums by politically pressured owners.

Trump has tens of thousands appear at an Event. Hard to hold that many people indoors.
They should have no problem having indoor and small events for Kamala.........

Trump should hire more of his own private security and then proceed to do even more “outdoor” rallies. One thing is certain... an outdoor rally would still be safer than an indoor one... where the SS allowed in a Trump-hater or three... with enough explosives to kill an awful lot of MAGA voters, as well as Trump. And at this point and considering what we already know, does anyone really believe they wouldn’t? They’re desperate as their time runs out... and I bet that they’re already planning to fall back on that “I vas just following orders” BS... assuming that their coup fails and they are finally caught.
Trump’s outdoor rallies were a gift to those who were seeking to kill him. General Grant didn’t walk around in plain sight of confederate snipers. Why should Trump do so with Democrat snipers?
Hire private security and send the bill to the government. He’d have a good case in court.
Of course, they also don't like all the images of the size of crowds Trump draws compared to the Democrats.
So...the PA rally was sort of their last chance.
Picking up PA would be nice. Republican registration is up but the spread is still huge.
Tricks to inhibit large crowds.
