So, IMO, they are both laying low due to law fare/assisination attempt.
They will both be on stage along with the entire Trump family AND Vance families tomorrow night.
(I don’t blame Melania/Barron for stepping back since the law fare and ESPECIALLY assassination attempt. It’s best they stay in the background. They will be there when needed for PDJT.

I have noticed Melania’s absence. She was already keeping her distance from the campaign, long before this shooting incident. It’s probably not an easy life, being a political spouse, let alone if your spouse is someone like Donald Trump, as famous as he is controversial to many people.
Maybe she’s in touch by phone.

Look back at news reports from last year, they reported allegedly through her friends that she was not going to be actively involved in the campaign, there's been reports that she likely won't even move to the White House. Someone wrote in a thread earlier this week that they had read she would likely be up in New Jersey where Barron is going to school this fall.
She went through a lot of grief and it appears she wants nothing to do with politics, beyond a few rather private campaign events.
