Vance isn’t Trump’s running mate because he’s the most qualified.
He’s not more qualified than anyone else on Trump’s list.
Vance was picked because he could check the right boxes.
He’s young. (Check!) He’s from the Midwest. (Check!) He wrote a book about his life, and it was made into a movie.
Also, he and Trump probably hit it off. That’s how VPs are picked.
Trump made his choice. I thought he’d pick someone with more experience to be one step away from the presidency, but he still has my vote.
