The snipers could have been told to await orders, but then fired independently in response to the shooter. Regardless, Trump’s exposure went on for way too long with absolutely no indication there was an immanent threat. Guessing protective SS movement towards Trump could have prompted the shooter to act.
If the agents near the stage appeared agitated and occasionally looked towards the direction of the shooter, then the threat was no doubt being shared on comms.
Not to make excuses, but the outcome could be a serious case of incompetence. But incompetence can also be arranged.
Apparently the DOJ denied Trump’s recent request for greater security.
So let’s say they see shooter. I think they would have to wait for the okay to shoot. But once the shots go off they take him out independently. So the person thrown under the bus is the guy who did not give okay before shooter shot.
If congress can stop salary, then do so to the director until Trump gets more protection, and RFK is given protection
