Federal agents are 'confident' they will nail the suspects involved It was reported that they are planning to charge suspects with first-degree felonies Those involved in Perry's fatal overdose could face a minimum of 20 years in prison
The federal agents investigating Matthew Perry's death are 'confident' they will be able to charge the suspects involved in his fatal drug overdose.
On Friday, it was reported that the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is planning to charge 'multiple people' with drug distribution resulting in death or great bodily injury.
For the first-degree felony charge, they could be facing a sentence of 20 years minimum in prison.
When the Friends star died at the age of 54 last year and the autopsy was later released, the LAPD began an investigation into the circumstances of his overdose.
The agents are reportedly probing and looking to charge more people than just drug dealers.

You are right.
Are they overcharging in order to ensure they lose the case??
You guys have nailed this. My immediate reaction was “How is this a Federal issue!?”
This is just another in a long list of justifications for disbanding the FBI.
Me too, I Googled "Matthew Perry wiki" and the
ever accurate wikipedia informed me that he was
a Hollywood actor and drug addict his entire life,
and everybody knew it.
He’s a dead druggie..shxt happens.
20 years for a nobody for helping an actor fatally overdose.
18 months for manslaughter by a Hollywood Demonrat dismissed with prejudice.
Meanwhile, we’ve got Peter Navarro pushing to free major convicted fraudsters and drug operatives sooner than the path that the Biden Admin is on. Yes, Kushner’s bad “prison reform” bill has a major advocate in Navarro:

yep
The police have no business interacting with anyone, or stopping the sale of drugs. - Not my beliefs, just the freepers who hate cops.
Maybe legalizing drugs would have saved his life? After all, it was his life to do with as he pleases. /s?
They can find the dealers but can’t ID who owned a bag of coke in the White Hut?
I don’t remember them going after “Saint” George Floyd’s dealers...
Alternatively, they will take great care to just look away. Did they ever charge Schiff's buddy for the boytoy corpse at his place?
nobody forced him to use drugs. His own choices.
White woman is what I read.
Keith Morrison-— is his stepfather.
To OD is to suicide.
Supply and demand is a two way street. He was a full grown adult who knowingly chose to take a chance every time he used.
Those were the best burglar alarms ever. The slightest noise and let there be light. Of course, at the next noise you’d be in the dark.
He paid with his life. Now, I’d like to see his suppliers also pay with their lives.
People who knowingly put illegal substances in their bodies, and then die from it, are the ones responsible for their own deaths. If you deliberately go out and buy drugs from a supplier, with the intent to use them, and you die of an overdose because of the crap you chose to introduce into your body...that’s on you. How many people die of drug overdose every day, yet nobody gives a crap where they got the stuff from. It’s only because it’s Matthew Perry, who had a history of drug use, and obviously never beat the habit. Predictable end.
Drugs in Hollywood. Rampant. So many go for it and then die. So many.
It’s hard to feel sorry for them because they just need to say no but the parties, the networking, the friends that encourage ones and the money to spend that way and there are some people that organically get addicted so fast. Slippery slope. Yet Hollywood seems to feel they can tell us all how to live.
