The U.S. government never stopped spending billions of dollars to fund and promote abortion even when the Republican Party controlled the White House and both houses of Congress.

I concede that point. And point out this obvious conclusion: The US government now has even less of an incentive to reduce the billions of dollars spent on abortion now that the Repubs have elected to remain silent on this as a national issue.

Let's be brutally honest here: Abortion was enshrined in our legal/political system as a method to kill off black people. The Republicans spent decades effectively playing this silly little game where they pretended to oppose it, but they really didn't.

Does anyone think it was just an accident of history that in the pre-Roe years, the first -- and most permissive -- state abortion laws were signed into law by white WASP Republican governors? Nelson Rockefeller (NY) and Ronald Reagan (CA) were two notable examples in the 1960.
