I made the Rookie Mistake one year of planting not one, but, TWO big plantings of Pole Green Beans.

OMG! We were SO sick of beans! Of course, we ate them all, but my kid still mentions ‘The Green Bean Year’ from time to time. ;)

Usually my beans produce like the yard longs are producing. Enough for a nice big stir fry every week and a couple of packs to freeze or a couple of quarts to fill up the empty spaces in the canner.

But this year I am doing a couple of canners full plus every week. Oh well, we will be stocked up in case next year is not a good year.
