Four Mississippi Waffle Houses will only serve to-go orders on weekend evenings after 11 p.m. due to safety concerns. Company officials posted the news on social media and said the changes will affect all four locations in Vicksburg. The Vicksburg Post reports that Hope Baker, a Waffle House division manager, said all four Vicksburg locations will begin serving only to-go orders on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 p.m. until 6:30 a.m. beginning Friday, July 12.

Sadly, it is ‘them’ again. This is probably a good business decision on the part of waffle house. Certain groups in this country have no self-control at all, and think the world owes them something.

Very true. I am old enough to have known quite a few unsung American heroes from varying circumstances and walks of life. Rarely do they think of themselves as heroes, even as they do heroic things.

In September - October of 2023 I did a solo 23 state, 11,000 mile motorcycle trip. I ate a lot of breakfast meals in Waffle House restaurants. I open carried my FN FiveseveN the whole way. I had one manager and one customer thank me for carrying.
I’ve eaten at 3 of those 4 Waffle Houses in Vicksburg while working on the Grand Gulf I power plant.
I love waffle house, but I won’t go to the ones in the off off off the beaten track.
