Zero sympathy. 2 weeks ago in the primary they overwhelmingly elected AOC who is the biggest supporter of the invasion, so to hell with that city and I grew up there. My old neighborhood in Woodside looks like a town in El Salvador now. Last time I was there was around 5 years ago and they had signs under the 7 train on Roosevelt ave. warning women not to walk alone at night as they risk rape.

My dad was born and raised in Queens. He told me that the immigrants who were coming there (1930’s) were very grateful to be here and wanted to be American citizens. The Italian’s would get mad at you if you spoke Italian to them. Dad spoke Italian fluently. Dad told me he tried speaking Italian to one of the neighbors and the man said he was an American citizen and he was insulted by a kid speaking Italian to him in the United States.
